The main methods of getting around within Cambodia for long distances are by bus and boat, depending on the destination. The same services are often also available to neighboring countries too. Listed below are some of the main companies offering transportation services.

Boat Companies

What about boat?

There are several companies offering boat trips to various locations within Cambodia and to neighboring countries. All offer similar facilities and depart at 7am in morning. Here we have listed only a couple, mostly because people tend to prefer bus to boat due to price and length of trip (not to mention water levels – dry season tends to take longer as river levels drop – and generally not advisable to go by boat in dry season). Note that if an average ticket price to Siem Reap by bus is around 13-15 USD, it will cost 35-40USD by boat. However if you wish to experience a different mode of transport then give this a go!

Angkor Express | Offers boat trips from Phnom Penh to Sieam Reap ($35 everyday @ 07:30AM 5.5 hour trip ) and Siem Reap to Battambang. For detail check out their website.

Delta Adventure Tour Boat | Offers boat trips from Phnom Penh to Sieam Reap ($35 everyday @ 07:30AM 6 hour trip )

Royal Express Boat | Trips from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap cost $35 everyday @ 07:30AM  and is a 5h journey.
