Geghard, Garni, Sevan and surrounds


Appreciate the serenity of Lake Sevan from Sevanavank. Be amazed by the sheer number of "khachkar"'s (stone etched headstones) at the Noratus cemetery and discover the history behind them. Visit the ancient Hayravank monastery perched in a picturesque position overlooking Sevan. Visit a local family and learn about life in the Lchashen village over lunch.

Byurakan and surrounds


Learn about the Armenian Alphabet at St M. Mashtots Church in Oshakan.Enter the life of local villagers in the picturesque village of Byurakan. Learn about their way of life and how they make their own produce, organically. Taste the fresh food over an intimate lunch with a family and have the opportunity to learn about their customs and traditions.

Sanahin, Haghbat, Alaverdi, Goshavank and Dilijan


Be inspired by the Gems of northern Armenia set in some of the most magnificent landscapes. Visit two UNESCO Heritage listed sights, starting at Sanahin with its serene and tranquil surrounds. Then to Haghbat, nestled in the peaks of the Debed Canyon among lush green fields. Enjoy a BBQ lunch on the banks of the river in Alaverdi. Moving on to Goshavank, learn about the fables of Gosh. Admire the picturesque town of Dilijan known as the "little Switzerland" by locals.

Mt Aragats, Meet the Yezdies, Amberd, Hike to Byurakan


Embrace the natural beauty of the mountains! Be on top of Armenia, with the impressive four peaked Mt Aragats, the highest in Armenia. See the lake nestled at the top of the mountain, where you are likely to see snow and ice even in the middle of summer! Enter the world of the Yezdies. Experience the simple lives of these nomadic people that set up tents on the skirts of the mountain as they graze their flocks in the summer months.

Be impressed by the Amberd fortress and its surrounds. Then hike across the gorge to a location with breathtaking views. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the fresh mountain air then an easy hike to Byurakan village.

From Yerevan to Stepanakert via Selim Pass


This 3 day adventure will expose history and showcase some of Armenia's rugged and amazing landscape. Stop at the first ever historic 'hostel' dating back to the 14th century at Selim pass and take in the view. Visit the Yeghegis monastery in a beautiful valley setting before lunch in Vayk. See Karahunj the 'Stonehenge' of Armenia significant for study of astronomy in ancient times. On to Shosh village to enjoy the hospitality of a local family for dinner and for the first night stay of the tour.

First stop at Sushikend known for its enormous Tanjir tree. Then on to the impressive capitol of Artsakh' Stepanakerd. Visit Gandzasar monastery perched up high in beautiful surrounds. Enjoy a picnic lunch and taste the local specialty 'jingalov' bread. Returning to Stepanakert, further explore the city before dinner at a local restaurant. Stay overnight at Stepanakert.

Be impressed by the city of Shoushi, where history has unfolded. Visit the fortress, St Ghazanchesoc church, the cliff and Jlgrdyuz, Shoushi museum, and the Mosque. Moving on to Khndzoresk, explore the cave village where ancient settlements lived. Enjoy lunch with a family at Khndzoresk for more Armenian hospitality before heading off to Jermuk. Renown for its mineral water and hot springs, Jermuk is a popular local holiday destination. Visit the unusual waterfall and enjoy the surrounding landscape. Head back to Yerevan.
